Year 2020 has seen a health crisis that held the world in its grip in the most unprecedented fashion. Given the situation LASDES chose to still take interns and shift the engagement online for the same. The internship enrollment was successfully concluded by the end of may and the team was ready with a plan to roll out. The internship commenced on 1st June with a mighty number of 102 students. Students were divided into smaller groups of 15-20 each and were assigned mentors that would guide them throughout the duration of the engagement. The internship included 8 online contacts where lectures were delivered over zoom calls, with two major submissions from the students. The team felt the need to give the students an idea of legal writing that can be considered worthy for publication in online platforms. To achieve the same a seminar on Legal Article writing conducted by the NGO President Adv Tanmay Sadh and one on Legal Research Paper writing conducted by Ms. Aparna Bajpai were the first two sessions of the internship. They were both also mentors to a group of students each. The submissions were correlated to these two seminars.
Alongwith, that the Students were also introduced to the Basics of Contract by one of the mentors Mr. Shashi Tripathi. The organization’s vision to equip the interns with in-depth knowledge about various professional prospects motivated the invitation to two guest lecturers; Ms. Gauri Joshi (Editor in chief AvaiLink, Sub Editor at Prakashak Media) who spoke on Correlation of Law and Journalism and Mr. Viplav Bnnerjee on Model UNs and how law students can venture into the same. Adv Mr. Tanmay Sadh has also co-authored a book with the Founder Mr. Devaang Savla on Constitution and he took a session on Constitutional Law with the Students. He also took a session on how to create professional CVs, Cover Letters, and Statement of Purposes and took students’ querries on the same.
The internship concluded on 28th of June with a concluding address by President Adv. Mr. Tanmay Sadh.
