Legal Education
Legal Aid and Social Development Education Society’s core objective focuses on legal education for students who face grave social, financial and economic challenges towards educating themselves and subsequently building a career in the field of law. We aim to provide equal opportunity for quality legal education to students irrespective of their social and financial background.
Our NGO conducts classes free of cost for students, beating commercialization of legal education as done by coaching institutions across India, where field practitioners offer legal education and guidance to the students in preparation of CLAT and other competitive law examinations. This program runs three facilities; Classroom Teaching Program, Offline/Online Study Material and Online Learning Videos.
DEVELOPING PROJECTS
E-Classroom Program
Covid-19 Pandemic has proved to us that Online Learning is a growing trend as it fills infrastructural gaps, facilitating remote learning. LASDES is currently establishing an e-learning infrastructure in which a computer lab is being set up in collaboration with Somerville College, University of Oxford.
Certificate Courses
LASDES is soon to feature as a provider of certificate courses dealing with various legal and social subjects like human rights, basic concepts of sociology, procedural laws, constitutional law, jurisprudence, criminal law, litigation etcetera. These will be foundational courses that will help students to build understanding of the subject along with practical ground implementation of relevant legislations.
